Christmas sprints and beat the record

98 swimmers from all Tiers gathered on Sunday 17th December for our annual sprint challenge.  Each swimmer competed over 25m in all 4 strokes, the times were then combined to crown each age group sprint champion.  The 11 and unders were also competing for the ‘beat the record’ plates.  Some of these records go back to 1995, none were bettered this year but our 8, 9 and 10 year olds can target them next year!

The bake sale was a great success as always – well done and thanks to everyone who did their best festive bakes.  We raised £444 for club funds.  The raffle in aid of Social Bite’s Christmas of Kindness raised £84, thanks to everyone who bought a ticket.

Scottish Swimming awards night

A group of swimmers, coaches and volunteers got dressed up for the 2023 Scottish Swimming awards dinner in Glasgow.  We didn’t win club of the year but very proud of the whole club for making it to the top three.  Big thank to everyone who got involved in the filming and panel interviews, and special thanks to Pete Harris for pulling it all together.

It was a great night out, nice to see everyone looking so glamorous.  And had to drag the swimmers off the dance floor in the end!
