A team of 8 Hearts Masters travelled to Aberdeen to take part in the British Masters long course championships from 17-19 June. A total of 630 swimmers took part from all over the country enjoying the well organised meet and sunshine in Aberdeen.
We had a number of individual medallists and record breakers.
Ruth Miller: Gold in 50 free, 200 IM and 50 Breast. Silver 100 Breast, 100 Free (25-29 age group).
Carol Lock: Silver 1500 Free, 400 IM, 400 Free, 200 Back, 200 IM and 800 Free (35-39 age group). Carol also got Scottish Records in the 1500 Free, 400 IM and 200 Back.
Dave Taylor: Silver 800 Free, Bronze 200 Breast (35-39 age group).
Jessie Campbell: Silver 1500 Free (50-54 age group).
Ian Sutherland: Bronze 100 Free (30-34 age group).
Jamie Waller: Bronze 50 Back (18-24 age group).
Relay teams also picked up a couple of medals: Mixed 120-159 years 4 x 50 Free relay Silver (Carol, Ian, David and Ruth), Mixed 72-99 years 4 x 50 Medley relay Bronze (Jamie, Carol, Dave, Ruth).
Also on the team were Elinor Crofts and Scott McAllister.
