Success at Tranent and Dunfermline meets

The weekend of 30th April and 1st May saw a busy weekend for a lot of our swimmers at the Tranent Open Graded meet at Prestonpans and the Dunfermline Junior Sprint meet at Glenrothes.

On Saturday coach Finlay Saunders and 17 swimmers were at Prestonpans to race 100m of every stroke plus a 50 free.  Both sessions saw some great personal bests, medals and “too fast” mementos.  There was a great team spirit with great support for each other.  Well done all!

On Sunday coach Elinor Crofts was at Glenrothes with 6 eight and nine years in the morning and then 10 ten and eleven year olds in the afternoon, some who had competed the day before in Prestonpans.  For some it was their first external meet.  All swam brilliantly with again lots of personal bests and medals.  Thomas won all his events in the afternoon and came away with the “top boy” trophy.  Then as an added bonus Heart of Midlothian won the top team trophy – well done everyone!  It was great to see the team cheering each other on.
